WHAT IS MATCH MONTH?
Match Month is a month-long fundraising campaign designed to help local non-profits grow their endowed funds at the Community Foundation. The goal of the campaign is to encourage community support for these organizations while building a sustainable source of funding for the future.
During Match Month, all donations made to participating nonprofits are directed straight into the organization’s endowed fund. These funds are invested, and the earnings help sustain and support the organization's work over time, providing long-term financial stability.
Thanks to the generous contribution from the Patterson Family Foundation, Your Community Foundation enhances the impact of donations by offering a proportional match for every dollar raised. For each participating non-profit, the match amount is determined based on the proportion of total community contributions received. This means that the more an organization raises during Match Month, the larger their match amount will be.
