Your Community Foundation, in partnership with the Iola Public Library, hosted a special workshop for nonprofit board members and staff on Thursday, March 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session focused on teaching the fundamentals of fundraising and was led by fundraising expert Betty Johnson, CFRE.
Johnson, president of Betty Johnson & Associates, brought over 40 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to the event. She has trained thousands of staff and volunteers nationwide in areas such as fundraising, marketing, volunteer management, and organizational development, all with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Attendees shared that they felt inspired and motivated to implement new strategies in their fundraising and marketing efforts. One notable example came from The Humanity House, which left the workshop inspired and went on to secure a $25,000 matching donation for an upcoming fund drive.
