RAYMOND MCINTOSH MEMORIAL FUND Gives Over $4,000 to ACARF!

Raymond C. McIntosh, a lifelong animal lover and dedicated supporter of ACARF, visited the shelter on multiple occasions and expressed his appreciation for its mission. Before his passing in a car accident on April 10, 2021, Raymond made it known that he wanted his estate to support the ongoing work of ACARF. In July 2021, to honor Raymond’s wishes and preserve his legacy, his brother Gary McIntosh established the Raymond C. McIntosh Memorial Endowment Fund at YCF. This designated fund was made possible through contributions from Raymond’s estate, Gary McIntosh, and many other generous donors

Designated funds at Your Community Foundation are created by donors to provide long-term, stable funding to specific nonprofit organizations. In this case, ACARF benefits annually from the fund's earnings, which support vital operating costs as well as medical expenses for sick and nursing animals. Thanks to contributions during YCF’s annual Match Month campaign and the generosity of donors inspired by Raymond’s story, the McIntosh Fund has grown to an impressive $106,741.68 in just four years!

Gary McIntosh has been actively involved with both ACARF and Your Community Foundation since shortly after their founding. He continues to demonstrate his commitment to local philanthropy through his role as an advisor to the YCF Board of Directors. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in guiding YCF’s growth, which has expanded to manage over $2 million in charitable assets since its inception in 2012.

The McIntosh Fund is a shining example of how a single individual’s passion can spark lasting impact.
