All funds raised through the auction are being placed into the Raymond McIntosh Memorial Endowment fund held at Your Community Foundation. An endowment is a permanent fund where the principal is invested to generate income. Rather than spending the principal, the income it produces is used to make grants and donations—ensuring ongoing, long-term financial support for worthy causes.
ACARF will start receiving annual distributions from the fund in Spring of 2025. These grants will support the organization’s operational needs, fund innovative projects, and help launch new programs designed to improve the lives of animals in our care.

This thoughtful, forward-looking approach ensures that ACARF will continue receiving financial support year after year, creating a reliable source of funding that benefits animal welfare across the community.
